Action taken after pesticides found in MDH spices: 178 kg of MDH spices seized in front of Sawai Madhopur grain market

In Sawai Madhopur, the Health Department has taken significant action against MDH spices. Due to poor quality and the presence of pesticides in the spices, the food safety team has seized 178 kilograms of spices.
CMHO Dharmasingh Meena stated that continuous action is being taken against substandard food items as per the state government’s directives. In this series, a major action was carried out under the direction of Sawai Madhopur District Collector Dr. Khushal Yadav. Food Safety Officers Virendra Kumar, Ved Prakash Poorviya, and Babu Lal Tagaya executed the action in Sawai Madhopur. The team seized 31 kg of Deghi Mirch, 70 kg of Sambar Masala, 27 kg of Kitchen King Masala, 86 kg of Chunky Chat Masala, and 27 kg of Chana Masala, totaling 178 kg of spices, from Agarwal Traders located in front of the Sawai Madhopur grain market. CMHO Meena mentioned that due to the unsafe nature and high pesticide content found in MDH spices, actions are being taken across the state to seize these spices. This is harmful to people’s health. Therefore, similar actions will continue to be taken at district headquarters in the future as well.
