PTET Exam Conducted at 11 Centers: Out of 4850 Candidates, 657 Did Not Appear; Exam Held Under Tight Security

The exam for admission into the two-year B.Ed, four-year B.A B.Ed, and B.Sc B.Ed courses was held on Sunday from 11 AM to 2 PM. Candidates were required to reach the center by 10:30 AM. There were a total of six exam centers for the two-year B.Ed in the district.

Many candidates were absent

The PTET exam was conducted. Out of 2473 candidates for the two-year B.Ed, 2095 appeared for the exam. 378 candidates were absent. The centers for this exam were Birla Shiksha Kendra, Bhamashah Dwarka Prasad Kabra Purusharthi School, Rajkiya Balika School City, Central Academy, Mewar Girls College, and Government Girls College. Similarly, in the four-year integrated course, out of 2377 candidates, 2098 appeared for the exam, and 279 candidates were absent. For this exam, the centers were Mahatma Gandhi Government School Station, Shribhuwanbhanu Jain Surishwar Umavi, Senior Secondary School Senti, Vision College, and MPG College. Due to the ballot boxes being kept in the district’s largest senior school, Shaheed Major Natwar Singh Shaktawat, this time it was not made an exam center. At one of the exam centers in the city, about three dozen candidates who arrived late were not allowed entry. This led to a prolonged argument from the candidates, with some being disappointed. These candidates remained gathered outside the center.

  • The district coordinator of the examination, Dr. Gautam Kumar Kukda, informed that strict vigilance was maintained by the administration and police at all centers. Under the direction of the Collector, a three-member flying squad was formed, led by SDM Bhadesar, to monitor all examination centers.
  • This time, invigilators were allotted classrooms one hour before the exam through a lottery system.
  • PTET district coordinator and Girls’ College principal Prof. Gautam Kumar Kukda stated that candidates brought their admit cards and photo IDs to the designated center. After the exam, they took the question paper booklet and a carbon copy of the OMR sheet with them.
  • DYSP Rural Shivprakash Taylor and District Education Officer (Primary) Rajendra Kumar Sharma were present with him. Nodal Officer ADM Rakesh Kumar also fully reviewed the examination and gave necessary instructions.
