To bring their research to the masses, Rohit and Akanksha have recently created a bouquet of 25 film songs based on 15 ragas.

Singer Rohit Kataria, who chose music as his career after studying CA-CS, and his wife, Dr. Akanksha Kataria Dave, have been researching various ragas of Indian classical music and creating compositions for many years. To bring their research to the masses…

The special thing is that all these songs are compositions of the great musician Madan Mohan. Rohit says that despite being a film composer, Madan Mohan had a deep attachment to Indian classical music. Most of his songs were based on various ragas. Rohit mentioned that this year marks the 100th birth anniversary of Madan Mohan.

On this occasion, Akanksha and I are organizing an event called ‘Ragas of Madan Mohan’ on June 23 at Maharana Pratap Auditorium at 5.30 pm. The program will feature songs in which the essence of ragas is prominently showcased.

His father and guru, Chandra Kataria, has also been instrumental in preparing this program. He will also direct the live band in this event. The program will be full of musical infotainment, where the audience will not only enjoy songs based on various ragas of Madan Mohan but also experience the connection of Hindustani and South Indian ragas with his songs.

Under this program, conducted by the Rohit Kataria Music Academy and Katarias Entertainment Group, a bouquet of 25 songs based on 15 ragas will be presented. These songs will be performed by his father and guru Chandra Kataria, Rohit Kataria himself, and his singer wife Dr. Akanksha Dave Kataria. The entire program will also be live-streamed on Rohit Kataria’s YouTube channel.

A medley of songs based on the same raga will be special.

In addition to solo and duet songs, a medley of various songs based on the same raga will be worth listening to.
